IconBatcher

About IconBatcher

IconBatcher is a favicon and app-icon generator. You give it one source file — ideally an SVG or a 1024 px PNG — and it produces the full set a modern site needs: the classic favicon.ico, the PNG ladder, the Apple touch icon, the PWA manifest icons with their maskable variants, the Windows tile, and the markup that points browsers at all of it.

It exists because the boring part of shipping an icon is not making it — it is checking it. A logo that reads beautifully at 512 px can collapse into a grey blob at 16 px, lose its edges under an Android launcher mask, or turn its transparent background black on an iPhone. So the tool draws your icon on the surfaces where it will actually land, at the pixel sizes it will actually be shown, before you commit anything to a repository.

Nothing is uploaded. The file is decoded by your browser, drawn into canvas elements, encoded as PNG and packed into a ZIP in the same tab — there is no backend to send it to. An unreleased brand stays on your machine, and the page keeps working with the network turned off once it has loaded.

It is built and maintained by Interhive OÜ, a small studio in Tallinn that makes tiny, dependable web tools.

What it does

Sources

SVG, PNG, JPEG, WebP and GIF, dropped, picked or pasted. SVG is re-rasterised at every size; raster sources go through a box-filtered scale chain.

Styling

Padding, artwork scale, square / rounded / squircle / circle shapes, a transparent, solid or two-colour gradient background, and an optional dark-scheme copy.

Output

favicon.ico with 16/32/48 px entries, PNGs from 16 to 512, apple-touch-icon 180, maskable 192 and 512, mstile 150, the source SVG, a pinned-tab mask, site.webmanifest, a head snippet and a README — as single files or one ZIP.

Previews

Browser tab in light and dark chrome, iOS home screen with the system squircle, Android launcher masks with the 80% safe zone, macOS dock, Windows tile, install prompt and Safari pinned tab.
